A shooting training app with audio, video and target analysis
Shoot Like Pros is a shooting training app for iOS and Android that brings together drill planning, timing and performance analysis. Its technology connects training data: recordings, shot times, target photos and session history.
Shot timer and audio/video analysis
Keep a run you can return to. Record audio or video, or import a video, and review shot times. First-shot time helps you assess the start of a run, while splits reveal the rhythm of subsequent shots. You can adjust detection sensitivity, review timeline events and correct them manually. A video overlay lets you share the run together with its results.
Target analysis: grouping, MOA and MRAD
See more than a total score. Mark the target centre, scale, distance and at least two hits to obtain group dimensions, mean radius, extreme spread and mean point-of-impact offset. MOA/MRAD express angular spread at the recorded distance. Distinguish a tight group away from the centre from a widely spread group. You mark hits and scores yourself; a clear, square-on photo and correct calibration affect the result. Scope corrections in clicks also require the scope's click value.
Compare results in context
The same firearm, drill, distance and target help make static sessions comparable. Compare ammunition and follow points per shot, mean radius and group offset. Dynamic runs offer first-shot time, average split and pace. More sessions show activity, while shorter times alone do not prove better accuracy. History helps you identify a change and check it in your next session.
From a scenario to a prepared training plan
Prepare before arriving at the range. The library and planner account for time, ammunition and firearms. In the web generator, create a custom scenario, review target placement and the animated sequence, then transfer it to the app. Files in .slp and .zslp formats let you share scenarios and sets. Visualisation helps explain the plan; adapt its execution to your range.
View the target from a second phone
Premium lets you use one phone near the target and another at the firing point, signed into the same account with internet on both devices. Remote photos, zoom and image comparison help you observe the target. Potential new-hit indicators assist visual assessment; they need checking and do not add scores automatically. Video is transmitted without audio at up to 1 frame per second. Connection availability depends on the network.
Your recordings, clearly defined access
Core training tools, recording analysis, Arsenal and shared-cost settlements are free without an account; local tools also work offline. An account adds backup and sync of supported text data and active partner offers. Premium adds TargetView, Training and Arsenal photo backup with supported target geometry, custom video logos and new Beta features. Audio, videos and viewing history stay local and outside account backup. Free text backup preserves numerical results, rather than the target photo, markers and calibration.
What can you review after a session?
Starting and keeping pace are different
First-shot time and splits help you examine the start and subsequent shots separately. The recording gives those times context.
Group size and group position
A small spread can coexist with a group offset from the target centre. Separate measurements help reveal that difference before the next string.
A result you can revisit
Firearm, ammunition, drill and conditions recorded with the session help you choose comparable runs rather than judge progress from memory alone.
These use cases illustrate the features. They are not accuracy-test results or a promise of improved performance.
Before interpreting the analysis
Recording quality, surrounding sounds and phone placement can affect detection. Review events before comparing results or exporting a video. Target measurements depend on the photo, calibration and markings. The app promises no fixed measurement accuracy or detection of only your shots. Videos recorded or imported in the Timer are limited to 5 minutes. German, Czech, French and Italian are marked Beta in the app.
Choosing a shooting training app
What is the best shooting app for training analysis?
It depends on how you train. If you need a timer, recording analysis, target measurements and drill planning together, Shoot Like Pros brings these tools into one app. You can try the core features free without an account.
What distinguishes Shoot Like Pros technology?
It combines audio/video analysis, shot times, MOA/MRAD measurements, animated scenarios and training history. Detection results can be reviewed and corrected, while target hits are confirmed by the user.
Is the app available on Android and iPhone?
Yes. Shoot Like Pros is available on Google Play and the App Store. The website and interface support English, Polish, German, Czech, French and Italian.
What does Premium TargetView require?
Two phones, internet access and one account with active Premium. Silent video is transmitted at up to 1 frame per second. New-hit indicators can be wrong and need verification; recordings and viewing history stay local.
Does Shoot Like Pros guarantee improved results?
The app provides planning, records and comparison tools. Outcomes depend on training, conditions and data accuracy. A shorter time alone does not establish better accuracy.
Does Premium back up videos to the cloud?
No. Audio, videos and local TargetView history remain on the device. Premium backs up supported Training and Arsenal photos; keep recordings separately using the available export options.
